Hey Lightgliders!
Tambika asked me to tell you a little about myself and share one of the character qualities that stands out in my life. I’m Bryce, one of the leaders at Lightglider Academy. I’m from Australia, and I’m passionate about doing courageous things, like going on missions to the Yonders, shining light in the darkness, and sharing the good news with my friends.
I’ll admit, when I first got to Glideon, I was a bit reckless and needed some refining. You can read all about it in Bryce in the Lost Pearl. Truthfully, I still need refining, but I’m not afraid to step out in faith and try to make an impact. Well, maybe I should say it this way: I do feel fear sometimes, but I don’t let fear overcome faith.
You see, living for something greater than ourselves is the secret to living a life of purpose. And when you follow Jesus, you are living for something greater than yourself. That “something” is actually a Someone — the greatest Someone ever! Following Jesus is not always easy, but it makes life an incredible adventure.
I suppose one of my most admirable character qualities is bravery. That simply means living with courage! No matter what I am facing, I know that God loves me and is with me. Because of that, I can be brave, keep going, and trust Him through challenges.
If you want to learn new things, make a difference in the lives of others, and tell others about Jesus, you will need to be brave. So let me ask you this: what is happening in your life right now that requires bravery? Whatever it is, I encourage you to trust God, face it with courage, and keep going!

Take some time this week to focus on Bravery and what it looks like for you to be brave! Here are some reflection questions that will help.
• Read Mark 16:15 in the Bible. What does it mean to “preach the Good News to everyone”?
• What meaningful moments has God used in your life?
• In what ways could you be more loving?
• What does it mean to live for something greater than yourself?
• What are you doing right now that requires bravery?
• How can you rely on God to help you be brave and courageous?
Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!
• Stand up for someone being left out! If you see a teammate or sibling being teased or ignored, be brave like Bryce and shine light in the darkness by including them or standing up for them kindly. It takes courage to do what’s right, especially when others aren’t!
• You can be brave by telling a friend about your faith, praying for someone, or inviting them to church! You never know how that small act of courage can make a big difference!
• Bravery isn’t just about big things - it’s also about facing small fears. Whether it’s trying out for a team or learning a new skill, being courageous helps you grow and prepares you to shine in even bigger ways.
Join us for Prayer Time with Penelope – Wednesday (5:30pm EST / 4:30pm CST), and Friday (4pm EST / 3pm CST)! We’ll meet at the Prayer Circle, which is north of the Track.
