"Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience." - Colossians 3:12 (NLT)
This verse tells us to clothe ourselves with lots of different character qualities. Have you ever thought about that? You can put things like kindness on the way you put on your clothes in the morning. Just like we pick out which shirt or pair of shoes we are going to wear, we can choose to be kind, humble, gentle, and patient every single day. Clothing ourselves with kindness shows God’s love to the world around us. And since we are God’s people, it is something we must do.
