Confidence
Hey Lightgliders!
We’re talking about the Lightglider value of confidence this week. Confidence comes from a strong belief that you are known and loved. You can live with confidence because of how much God knows and loves you! But how can we be so sure of this? Because of the cross! God sent Jesus to die on the cross to pay for our sins and to purchase back our lives. Do you realize what this means? It means that you never have to question your value, no matter what anyone says or thinks about you. God knows you and loves you more than anyone else ever has or will. And the cross is the proof.
Never forget how valuable you are! You always have a reason to be confident because of what Jesus did for you. Your confidence should not come from your abilities, your friends, or your moral performance. These things are not dependable. No, our confidence comes from God's immeasurable love for us, which was showcased through Jesus at the cross! When we understand that our confidence can be anchored upon the unchanging rock of God's love, we will walk with the courage and boldness necessary to shine light in dark places, to stand up for what is right, and to repent when we make mistakes.

•Read Ephesians 3:10-12 in the Bible. What does our faith in Christ give us?
• How can a knowledge of God’s love affect our confidence?
• Where does your confidence come from?
• What is an example of a time when you stood up for what was right?
• What distracts you from resting in God’s love?
