Hello there Lightglider!
Did you know that the Bible begins by telling us that God is the Creator. The very first verse of Genesis tells us this! He created the heavens, the earth, the animals, and human beings. And He called all that He created good. And Genesis 1:27 tells us that God created us in His image. You were made in the image of a good, holy, and loving God.
Do you realize what this means?! It means that our lives matter! It means that our lives are valuable! It means that we are capable of extraordinary things!
Because you bear God’s image, you have dignity and purpose that is worthy of honor and respect. And, in the same way a mirror reflects your image back to you, you have the opportunity to reflect the image of God to the world. You are a light made to shine!

• Read Genesis 1:26-31 in your Bible. What did God say about all that He had made?
• How do you know that your life matters?
• How does understanding creation help us understand human dignity?
• What are you amazed at in God’s creation?
