Hey Lightglider!
We have been learning about the Far Greater Story in recent weeks. This is the most important story ever. It is the true story of God’s love for us!
We talked about how God is good and how He called all that he has created “good”. However, we have rebelled against Him and have chosen at times not to live in accordance with His love and truth. This is called sin. It causes destruction in the world and is the reason the world has so many problems.
Once we recognize that we have rebelled against God, we have the opportunity to repent. To repent means to turn away from sin and turn to God, and this requires humility. The Bible tells us to repent of our sins so that they may be wiped away. When God wipes away our sin, that is an act that we call forgiveness.
If we confess our sin, God is faithful to forgive us! God forgives us of our sin and restores harmony in our relationship with Him. And when we understand that God is willing to forgive when we don’t deserve it, we can forgive others as well!
Knowing that God is willing to forgive you, who do you need to be willing to forgive this week?
