"May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen." - Galatians 1:3-5 NLT
Because of our rebellion against a holy God, we are in need of a rescue. A rebellion is when people fight against the leader in charge. God created us to be in relationship with Him, but through our sin we rebel against Him every day. This damages our hearts and it hurts others as well. We cannot rescue ourselves. We can never be perfect the way God created us to be. But there is good news! God in his great love sent Jesus to rescue us! Jesus came to stop the hurt and the pain and to bring us back into relationship with God.
What does this passage say that we have been rescued from?
