“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” - John 13:34-35 (NLT)
This week’s Lightglider value is love. In this passage, Jesus tells us to love those around us the way He has loved us. To love others means to choose to put their needs ahead of your own. Our biggest need is to be forever forgiven from the sickness that is our sin and selfishness. Jesus knew this, and paid for our sin at the cross. This was the ultimate act of love because Jesus gave up His life so that we could live. With Jesus as our example, we can love others by identifying their needs and looking for ways to serve. Life becomes an incredible adventure as we do this.
What are the needs of the people around you?
