Hey Lightgliders!
The Lightglider Priority today and every day is to LOVE!
Last week, we talked about what it means to love God with all our heart, soul, and strength. When we begin with loving God, something amazing happens…His love starts to fill us and overflow into the way we love others!
God showed us the greatest example of love by sending His Son, Jesus, to rescue us and bring us back into a close relationship with Him. God loved us first and, because of this, we can love others.
When we choose to be kind, forgive, help, encourage, and care for others, we are showing them what God’s love looks like. We get to be little reflections of His love.
Loving others isn’t always easy. Sometimes people frustrate us. Sometimes we feel angry, hurt, or disappointed. In those moments, we can remember that we don’t have to love others with our strength alone. God’s love is in us, helping us choose love even when it’s difficult.
Every day we have opportunities to share God’s love with the people around us.

Here are some activities for you to do and questions to reflect upon this week in Lightgliders. Do these by yourself or with a family member!
• Read 1 John 4:19 in the Bible. What does it mean to be loved by God?
• How can God’s love help you love others?
• How do others know that you love them?
• Who is one person you can love today, and how will you show it?
• What is one way you can show kindness to a new person this week?
Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!
• The “Even When” Challenge: Think of someone in your life who has been difficult to love lately—a sibling, friend, parent, or another person you know. Choose one way to show them love even when you don’t feel like it. You could share something, give an encouraging compliment, help them with a task, or do something kind without being asked. Doing this is truly imitating God’s love!
• The “Turn It Around” Challenge: The next time you feel angry, sad, or frustrated, pause and ask, “How can I show love right now?” Maybe you can use kind words instead of saying something hurtful, listen instead of arguing, or give someone grace when they make a mistake. God’s love helps us respond differently!
• The “Pass It On” Challenge: Before you go to bed each night this week, thank God for loving you first. Then ask Him, “Who can I love tomorrow?” Write down someone’s name and think of one way you can show them God’s love. You can even tell a parent or trusted grown-up who you’re praying for and what you plan to do! Let’s go share God’s love, Lightgliders!
