Message
Continuing in our unit on The Far Greater Story, we have come to its climax, known as Redemption. God created everything good. Man rebelled against His perfect standard. Because of our rebellion we are separated from God. Without the next part of the story, we are left without hope.
But God, in His goodness, didn’t leave us hopeless! He sent His Son Jesus to redeem us from our sin. Redemption means to be bought back, or to be freed from captivity. By Jesus living the life we should have lived and dying the death we deserved to die because of our sin, He bought us back!
When Jesus died on the cross, He paid for our sins with His blood, so that we may be restored to God and live forever with Him. This is what it means to be redeemed. We can have full life because of what He did for us! What a gift!
