Hey Lightglider!
As we continue through the Far Greater Story, we’ve reached its climax: Redemption! This is Chapter 3 of the story of God’s love for us. To redeem something means to buy it back.
In Chapter 1, we learned that God created everything and called it good. He made us in His image, which means every person you meet has dignity and value. In Chapter 2, we learned that we have all rebelled against God’s goodness and love. This is called sin. Because of sin, the world is full of pain, brokenness, and death. Without the next part of the story, we would be left without hope.
But God, in His goodness, has not left us hopeless! He sent His Son, Jesus, to redeem us. Jesus died for our sins and rose again, making a way for us to be forgiven, restored to God, and live with Him forever. Our salvation came at a great cost—and God’s love for us is that great!
This is the heart of the Far Greater Story: we could not rescue ourselves, so God came to rescue us. Through Jesus, He offers us forgiveness and a place in His family. That is what it means to be redeemed!
As you go through your week, remember how deeply God loves you.

Take some time this week to think about God’s great love for you and the redemption He offers! Here are some questions to get you started.
• Read Ephesians 1:6-8 in the Bible.
• What is God rich in?
• How did God purchase our freedom?
• How can we be redeemed by God?
• What is redemption?
• How do you show people you care?
•How can being redeemed give you confidence?

• Say thank you to Jesus! Take time to thank Jesus in prayer for redeeming you. Gratitude reminds you of His love and helps you live with joy!
• Show kindness to others! Because Jesus redeems us, we can honor the dignity in every person we meet. Look for ways to encourage, include, or help someone today.
• Forgive like Jesus forgave you! If a friend, sibling, or classmate hurts you, choose to forgive instead of holding a grudge. Forgiveness shows others the love of Jesus!
