Transmission from Lightglider Academy
Each mission that you are sent on from Lightglider Academy into the Yonders has specific goals for you to pursue. Lightgliders live with great purpose because we have three overarching goals that never change: RESPECT, RESCUE, and RESTORE! We respect ourselves and each other at Lightglider Academy. We rescue Gliddles from the clutches of the Machines. And we restore the light from the blight. A goal is something that you are trying to achieve. Setting goals is important because they give us something to strive for! They help keep our lives on track and guide how we spend our time. When we set a goal, we commit to think and act in ways that will help us reach it.

Three Goals
Lightgliders seek to show respect to others, to help rescue those facing dangerous situations, and to work to restore the world to its intended beauty and purpose. These goals are informed by the Bible:
- RESPECT. Because we were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), every one of us is special. Every human being has dignity, which is worthy of respect.
- RESCUE. Jesus rescued us from the destruction caused by our sin and selfishness when he took our sins upon himself on the cross (1 Corinthians 5:21). When we seek for others to be rescued, we are mirroring the mission of Jesus.
- RESTORE. One day in the future God will restore this broken world (Acts 3:21). To serve as a signpost of what is to come, Lightgliders seek to restore the beauty, purpose, joy, dignity, and freedom of this world and everyone in it in small ways each and every day.
Setting goals is a helpful way to focus the time, energy, and gifts that God has given us.
