“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.” - Mark 10:43 (NLT)

Hey Lightgliders!

My name is Nisha. I am one of the “quieter” Lightgliders. You may not notice me and I don’t mind that at all. You can make a powerful impact on the world without anyone even knowing your name!

I was born and raised in India. Being the oldest of seven kids, I had a lot of responsibility with my brothers and sisters. They needed me to be consistent and caring. Do you have siblings? Having little brothers and sisters has taught me a lot about what it means to give without expecting much in return. I came to Lightglider Academy a bit nervous. There were so many big personalities and talented people here. Bryce is courageous. Tambika leads the Academy. Marlon is a genius. I didn’t know what I had to offer, so I just looked for ways to serve. I helped Bryce plan out Yonders missions in Mission Control. I assisted Kwan as he created new tech in the Innovation Lab. I worked with Tambika to organize new Treehouses for the Gliddles. One day Tova thanked me for doing the little things that seemed to go unnoticed. She said, “Nisha, you are effective at making others effective! You multiply the impact of those around you. And, for that, I say thank you!”

I have learned that little things make a big difference. It brings me joy to serve. Putting the needs of others before my own helps me to be humble and encourage others all at the same time!

Glide On!

Nisha

Take some time this week to focus on Service and what it looks like for you to serve those around you in both big and small ways! Here are some reflection questions that will help.

• Read Mark 10:43 in the Bible. According to this verse, what makes the people of God different?

• Who do you know that is quiet and wise?

• What does it mean to show hospitality?

• In what ways might you serve those around you today?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

• New Ambassadors and Senior Ambassadors announced this week! Check out the Spotlight Blog and say congrats to our newest leaders inside the Academy!

• It’s Find a Mod week! Find Penelope in the Academy this week, say hello, and receive a prize!

• Play the Game of the Week, Fruit Fling, and get on the leaderboard!

• Watch the Sparks and Prayers associated with the theme This Week

• Use this week’s Mystery Code - NISHA - to receive some gold to use in Glider Gear!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!

• Just like Nisha serves behind the scenes, look for a way to serve at home without needing attention or applause! Tidy up a shared space (like your living room) or help pick up things in your yard!

• Cheer on a teammate during practice, or tell a friend, “You’ve got this!” Helping others feel confident makes a big impact!

• Nisha reminds us that even small acts of kindness matter. Serving with a joyful heart shines bright. Hold a door open with a smile, help carry groceries, or write a kind note to someone. These small things reflect God’s love in big ways!

Join us for Prayer Time with Penelope Wednesday (5:30pm EST / 4:30pm CST), and Friday (4pm EST / 3pm CST)! We’ll meet at the Prayer Circle, which is north of the Track.

Spotlights #251

June 7, 2025

It's time to spotlight some Lightgliders who have been shining brightly in the Academy.  Congratulations to Amber Awesome Artist, Ezra Prudent Lion, and Max Heroic Conqueror! You are in the Spotlight and will receive a Shining Spotlight Glider and RES Head to use this week!

Amber has been nominated for the Spotlight for being such a helpful friend inside the Academy! She is full of great advice and encouragement!

Ezra is an awesome Lightglider! He’s always encouraging others to read the Bible, pray, and obey!

Max recently joined the Gleam Team by achieving a light level of 80!

And you too can be in the Spotlight and receive the Shining Spotlight Glider and RES Head to wear. Keep shining in all you do in Lightglider Academy -- join the community events, show respect to other Lightgliders, create amazing postcards, rescue Gliddles, restore blight, lead other Lightgliders in a game you made up, or just be a positive influence to others. There are lots of ways to shine!

Neglected Institute

Bryce here! I’ve pinpointed the location of an abandoned Institute. It’s full of Machines that we have to battle, as well as Gliddles we need to rescue!

Be careful roaming those halls--our sensors show that there are giant Machines inside. Team up with Gliddles and battle hard! Remember, if a Gliddle gets tired, the next Gliddle will take its place as your battle partner. Right-click to switch Gliddles on the fly. Maybe you want to conserve a Gliddle’s energy, or maybe you’ll want to use the right Gliddle for the job!

There seems to be an interconnected door system in the Institute. Unlocking one door will unlock many others! Be on the lookout for door switches and out-of-place grates!

Friendship

June 2, 2025

“For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.” - Galatians 5:13 (NLT)

Hey Lightgliders!

Hi, I’m Kwan. I was born and raised in what is known as South Korea today. I have always been curious and inventive. And I like to work behind the scenes. My biggest passion at Lightglider Academy is to figure out the blight problem. That dark ooze is destroying the land and taking away its beauty and purpose. Have you seen it yet on one of your missions? Thankfully, we can use the RES harvested in the Treehouses to clear the blight. But, I want to find a permanent solution. That is my goal.

I usually hang out in the Innovation Lab. Feel free to come visit me there. I work closely with the Gliddles to invent things that can help -- better gliders, new technologies, stuff like that. To solve problems, we need to be creative and we need to work together!

I don’t like to be the center of attention but that doesn’t mean I can’t make a powerful impact on the world. I work behind the scenes to help Tambika run the Academy, assist Bryce on missions, and support each Lightglider in their mission to Respect, Rescue and Restore. I have discovered ways to use my unique gifts to help others. I’ve learned that a great way to develop friendships is to be a friend to everyone and to look for ways to serve. When we work with our friends, using our unique gifts, we can accomplish great things while building a wonderful community!

So, I encourage you today–be a friend to everybody and watch how God uses you!

Glide On!

Kwan

Take some time this week to focus on Friendship and what it means to serve each other using your unique gifts! Here are some reflection questions that will help.

• Read Galatians 5:13 in the Bible. How should we use the freedom that God has given us?

• What does it mean to “work behind the scenes?”

• Who is a good example of someone who leads with humility?

• Who needs your support and encouragement today?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

• Play the BRAND NEW Game of the Week, Morris Tic-Tac-Toe, and get on the leaderboard! The top 5 Lightgliders get some gold added to their inventory!

• Watch the Sparks and Prayers associated with this week’s theme

• Use this week’s Mystery Code - KWAN - to receive a surprise in your inventory!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!

• Help a family member with something they’re struggling with! If you see them needing help with a chore or task around the house, quietly offer to help them without needing the credit! Your behind-the-scenes support can help others succeed!

• Notice something that could work better? Maybe your play area at home could be organized, or your family could use a new system for chores. Use your ideas and work with others to come up with a solution. That’s innovation in action - just like Kwan in the Innovation Lab!

• You can shine by doing small acts of service: setting the table without being asked, picking up trash at the park, or writing a note of encouragement to a friend. You don’t need applause - your actions speak for themselves and help build stronger, more loving friendships!

Join us for Prayer Time with Penelope Wednesday (5:30pm EST / 4:30pm CST), and Friday (4pm EST / 3pm CST)! We’ll meet at the Prayer Circle, which is north of the Track.

• Monday: Join moderators in Mission Control at 5pm EST / 4pm CST to gather in groups and go on multiplayer missions together in the Yonders!

• Tuesday: Join moderator Hazel in the Courtyard for the monthly New Player Tour at 5pm EST / 4pm CST!

Spotlights #250

May 31, 2025

It's time to spotlight some Lightgliders who have been shining brightly in the Academy.  Congratulations to Newton Risky Champion, Max Purple Adventurer, and Zane Jumping Marvel! You are in the Spotlight and will receive a Shining Spotlight Glider and RES Head to use this week!

Newton Risky Champion has been nominated for the Spotlight because he has started a mini Bible study inside the Academy! Way to encourage others in the Word of God, Newton!

Max Purple Adventurer has been nominated for the Spotlight for being super helpful to new Lightgliders and for crushing missions with his friends!

Zane Jumping Marvel  is the newest member of the Gleam Team! Congrats, Zane!!

Emerald Fields

Hello, I’m Nisha! I serve in a lot of places at Lightglider Academy, but I mostly try to help the other leaders handle the blight problem in the Yonders. And this mission is all about restoring the land! The Emerald Fields in the Yonders are usually so beautiful, but they’ve been taken over by blight. My tip for you is to open up enough room in the blight so that you can dodge Machine attacks. The Emerald Fields are home to many green Gliddles, and to use their power correctly, you’ll have to get up close to Machines! Patience is the key to defeating Machines and clearing blight. Remember, if you run out of RES, come back to Lightglider Academy and give out Boosts to recharge!

I’ve heard that there’s a Machine that’s very hard to get to… Maybe the fences in this area don’t extend the whole way around the Fields?

Bravery

May 26, 2025

“And then he told them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” - Mark 16:15 (NLT)

Hey Lightgliders!

Professor Watts had asked me to tell you a little about myself and to share with you one of my character qualities that stands out. I’m Bryce, one of the leaders at Lightglider Academy. I’m from Australia and I am passionate about doing courageous things, such as going on missions to the Yonders, shining light in the darkness, and sharing the good news with my friends. I’m not afraid to go and try to make an impact. Living for something greater than ourselves is the secret to living a life of purpose. It’s not always easy, but it does make life an adventure!

I suppose one of my most admirable character qualities is bravery. That simply means I live with courage! No matter what I am facing, I know that God loves me and is with me. This motivates me to be brave and to never give up.

If you seek to learn new things and to make a difference in the lives of others, you will have to be brave. You will have to face new challenges with courage.

What is going on in your life right now that requires bravery? I encourage you to face it and keep going!

Glide On!

Bryce

Take some time this week to focus on Bravery and what it looks like for you to be brave! Here are some reflection questions that will help.

• Read Mark 16:15 in the Bible. What does it mean to “preach the Good News to everyone”?

• What meaningful moments has God used in your life?

• In what ways could you be more loving?

• What does it mean to live for something greater than yourself?

• What are you doing right now that requires bravery?

• How can you rely on God to help you be brave and courageous?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

• PARTY WEEK!! Join us on Friday at 5pm EST / 4pm CST in the Academy for the Movie MAYnia Party!!

• Play the Game of the Week, Treehouse Jumping, and get on the leaderboard!

• Watch the Sparks and Prayers associated with this week’s theme

• Use this week’s Mystery Code - BRYCE - to receive some gold to use in Glider Gear!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!

• Stand up for someone being left out! If you see a teammate or sibling being teased or ignored, be brave like Bryce and shine light in the darkness by including them or standing up for them kindly. It takes courage to do what’s right, especially when others aren’t!

• You can be brave by telling a friend about your faith, praying for someone, or inviting them to church! You never know how that small act of courage can make a big difference!

• Bravery isn’t just about big things - it’s also about facing small fears. Whether it’s trying out for a team or learning a new skill, being courageous helps you grow and prepares you to shine in even bigger ways.

Machine Bunker

Hey there! My name’s Bryce, and I’m the head of missions here at Lightglider Academy. I love to save Gliddles from the Machines, so my mission for you is to take on the Machines where it’ll hurt them most! We’ve discovered the location of a Machine Bunker, where Machines are made and sent out into the Yonders. We need to shut this factory down!

There are lots of Machines in there, so stay alert! Remember, your defense systems can fire automatically, so concentrate on dodging enemy attacks while you battle Machines. Some Machines are programmed to guard doors and hallways. They have lots of armor, but they’re very slow. Stop at a safe distance and you’ll whittle them down!

Go get ‘em!  I’ll be rooting for you!

Leadership

May 19, 2025

“If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.” - Romans 12:8 (NLT)

Hey Lightgliders!

Jabari yako rafiki! That means ‘How are you my friend?’ in Swahili. I’m Tambika. I manage Lightglider Academy while Professor Watts is away. Running this place isn’t easy, but it is rewarding. I try to meet all the new Lightgliders when they arrive in the Courtyard. That is a fun part of my job!

I was born and raised in what is now Tanzania. Do you know where that is? It is a beautiful country in Africa. Growing up, I always looked for leadership positions in my community. I love to serve others through organization. I love plans. I love calendars. I love details. And all of these things are important at Lightglider Academy. Otherwise, everything would be more chaotic than it already is!

I encourage you to use your gifts to serve others. We need people in this world with all types of gifts and talents. No matter how you are gifted, always remember that being a leader means serving others first. This is called servant leadership.

Glide On!

Tambika

• Read Romans 12:6-8 in the Bible. What gifts do you believe God has given you?

• What does it mean to be a leader by first becoming a servant?

• In what ways could you be a servant leader?

• What are your gifts and talents and how can you use them to serve others?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

• We need your help for the Movie MAYnia Party! Do you like to create? Ever thought about being a movie director? Now is your chance. Dream up a movie idea. Write the title of the movie, give a brief description of what it is about, and draw out a scene. Include any characters or props that you think are important. Send your movie idea and drawing to community@lightgliders.com by May 22nd for a chance to be featured at our May 30th party, Movie MAYnia!

• Use this week’s Mystery Code - TAMBIKA - to receive 100 Gold Coins!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!

• If you enjoy calendars and keeping things running smoothly, like Tambika, offer to make a chore chart for your family! Assign simple tasks to each family member (even yourself!) and help keep track of what gets done. This kind of leadership brings peace to your home and helps everyone feel like part of a team!

• Be the first to say “Hi!” to someone new at school, church, or a sports team. Show them around, introduce them to others, and help them feel like they belong. That’s leadership through kindness!

• Organize a clean-up day at school or church! Create a simple schedule, gather a few friends, and organize a classroom or playground clean-up day. You’ll be leading and serving your community!

Blighted Institute

Hello again! It’s Tambika, and I have a tricky mission for you. We’ve found a major source of blight in the Yonders: some kind of old abandoned Institute. It’s full of empty classrooms, broken tech, and lots and lots of blight! We need you to go in there and clear out all the blight!

Have you been collecting the Lilies that grow in the Yonders? Not only are they pretty, but they somehow grow without being harmed by the blight! Please bring back some of these Lilies for research. Every mission has 10 Lilies growing in them. Can you find them all?

We’ve found some sort of locked door that only opens with coins. I wonder who put this kind of toll entrance there? What treasures are behind that door? Will you spend the coins to open the door? The choice is yours!

Role Models

May 12, 2025

“Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.” - Hebrews 13:7 (NLT)

Hey Lightgliders!

I have the distinct privilege of introducing our new series called “Ways to Shine.” In this series, we will talk about Role Models and the positive character qualities that they possess. A role model is someone you can look up to! He or she serves as an example for how to live, how to treat people, and how to grow in your faith. I can’t tell you how important it is to have good role models!  One of my first role models ever was Marlon, who hangs out in the Academy Library.  Marlon cares about me and shows me what it looks like to have faith in God. Who are some of your role models? It could be a parent, an older sibling, a teacher, a coach, or perhaps a leader in your church. I encourage you to find someone you look up to, watch how they live their lives, and ask them lots of questions. And remember to listen to their answers!

Glide On!

Santiago

• Read Hebrews 13:7 in the Bible. Name two people who have taught you about God. What did you learn from them?

• Who do you look up to?

• Who looks up to you?

• Who shows you how to walk with God?

• How can you be a role model for others?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!

• Be a helper at home! Try clearing the dinner table, helping a sibling with their homework, or feeding the family pet! When you do, you’re showing responsibility and kindness, just like a great role model would!

• Encourage a friend at school! Role models build others up with their words, so encourage someone that you see feeling down or left out!

• Role models are learners too! You can shine by asking thoughtful questions during Bible study at church, or even during class at school. Just like Marlon in the Academy library, great role models are curious and want to grow in their faith. So don’t be afraid to raise your hand and seek wisdom!

• We need your help for the Movie MAYnia Party! Do you like to create? Ever thought about being a movie director? Now is your chance. Dream up a movie idea. Kindness

May 5, 2025

“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” - Colossians 3:12 (NLT)

Hey Lightgliders!

This is the last week of our Unit on the Lightglider Mission–to know, grow in, and show God’s love. As we are on a mission to SHOW God’s love, this week we’re talking about KINDNESS, which is an attribute of God that we can reflect. So, we don’t just want to talk about kindness this week, we want to show it! To be kind means to be friendly, generous, and considerate. Our theme verse this week is Colossians 3:12 (NLT): “Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”

This verse tells us to clothe ourselves with lots of different character qualities. Have you ever thought about that? You can choose to put qualities like kindness on like you put on your clothes in the morning. Just like we pick out which shirt or pair of shoes we are going to wear, we can choose to be kind, humble, gentle, and patient throughout our day. Clothing ourselves with kindness is a powerful way to show God’s character to the world around us. The Bible also tells us in Romans 2:4 that God’s kindness is what leads us to turn to Him in the first place. So pick up kindness and put it on like a jacket. Wear it everywhere you go!

Glide On!

Bryce

Take some time this week to pick up kindness and wear it around your family and friends! Here are some reflection questions that will help.

• Read Colossians 3:12-15 in your Bible. What character qualities do you clothe yourself with each day?

• In what ways can you show kindness to others?

• Who shows kindness to you? How do they do it?

• Where could you show more kindness?

• When has someone been kind to you?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!

• As you’re getting ready each day this week, go to your closet and pretend you’re picking your “kindness clothes.” Say out loud, “Today, I’m putting on kindness, gentleness, and patience!” Then look for a moment to show one of those qualities during your day – maybe it’s letting someone go first in line or helping a classmate!

• Go on a Secret Kindness Mission! Pick one person (a friend, teacher, or family member) and do something kind for them without them knowing it was you! Maybe leave a note, tidy something up, or share a snack!

• The next time you’re in a situation where you have to wait (like in line, during a car ride, or waiting for your turn), take a deep breath and pray, “God, help me be patient with and kind to the next person I see or talk to.”

• It’s Find a Mod week! Keep an eye out for Gertrude this week! Say hello and receive a prize!

• Play the BRAND NEW Game of the Week, Garden Glow! The top 5 Lightgliders on Saturday morning get a surprise in their inventory!

• Watch the Sparks and Prayers in This Week

• Use this week’s Mystery Code - KIND - to receive a surprise in your inventory!

Spotlights #246

May 3, 2025

It's time to spotlight some Lightgliders who have been shining brightly in the Academy.  Congratulations to Sparkle Peppermint Superstar, Grace Creative Mastermind, and Ace Dangerous Ranger! You are in the Spotlight and will receive a Shining Spotlight Glider and RES Head to use this week!

Sparkle Peppermint Superstar is the newest Senior Ambassador inside the Academy!

Grace Creative Mastermind has been nominated by fellow Lightgliders for her incredible sense of humor!

And Ace Dangerous Ranger is in the Spotlight this week for always showing up to Mission Monday and cruising through the Yonders to respect, rescue, and restore!

Sludge Valley

Tambika here! Are you ready for a new mission? We need you to help clean out the swampy area of Sludge Valley. Make no mistake--it can get pretty gross in the swamps! Add on Machines and blight, and you have a recipe for potential disaster! The Gliddles that live here don’t mind the usual swampy muck, but the blight makes the area completely uninhabitable. Rescue them and bring them to Zipways so they can live peacefully in the Treehouses!

Although blight usually spreads along the ground, it can also creep up tree trunks and choke the tree branches. Click on trees multiple times to slowly restore their original beauty with your RES! You can usually find amazing treasures and Materials under the blighted trees once they are fully restored!

Reflection

April 28, 2025

“Be still and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” - Psalm 46:10 (NLT)

Hey Lightgliders!

Our lives operate at a fast pace. We wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, do homework, eat dinner, go to bed, and often repeat it all the next day. If we’re not careful, our schedules and routines will quickly control our entire lives.

In this week’s theme verse, Psalm 46:10, God is telling us to be still before Him. Why? Because slowing down and being still allows a couple of things to happen. First, we have the opportunity to remember all that God has done for us. Second, we are reminded that He is in charge of our lives and not us! Being still before God and taking time to reflect is good for our soul. When you do this, you will more clearly see God at work in creation, in the people you encounter, and in your own life. Sometimes He will even speak to your heart when you are still before Him. My prayer is that you hear Him whisper how much He loves you because He really does!

Take some time for reflection this week, Lightgliders.

Glide On!

Nisha

Here are some activities for you to do and questions to reflect upon this week in Lightgliders. Do these by yourself or with a family member!

• Read Psalm 46:10 in the Bible. Reflect on your week. At the beginning of your week, the question is, “When will you take time to be still before God this week?” At the end of the week ask, “How did it go? What did you do? What will you do next week?”

• What does it look like for you to rest?

• What areas of your life need greater peace?

• What are your favorite ways to relax?

• How do you reflect upon God and His goodness in your life?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!

• Quiet Time Challenge! Set a timer for 3 minutes two different times this week and spend it in quiet reflection. No talking, no screens, just you and God! You can pray, think about what you’re grateful for, or just be still!

• Go on a walk outside with your family and notice God’s creativity in nature! Make it a game to point out as many beautiful things as you can!

• Ask a parent, sibling, or friend, “What’s something good God did today?” Listen as they share, and then share your answer too!

• Play the Game of the Week, Blight Fight! Everyone on the leaderboard this Saturday gets a prize!

• Watch the Spark and Prayer Videos

• Use the Mystery Code - REFLECT - to receive a surprise in your inventory!

Timberlands Camp

Welcome back, Lightglider! I have another mission for you! You’re heading to a strange camp in the Timberlands. This mysterious place has pools, gardens, trees...it might be beautiful, if it weren’t for all the blight there! Help rescue the Gliddles by restoring the land and the trees in the area. Make sure to be strategic with your RES--only grab RES orbs when you have already used a lot of RES!

Our sensors show that there’s a secret area around the Camp. Maybe you can enter the buildings from somewhere?

Prayer

April 21, 2025

“Never stop praying.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Hey Lightgliders!

As we continue to look at ways to KNOW, GROW in, and SHOW God’s love, the theme this week is PRAYER. Prayer simply means talking with God. It enables us to connect with God and GROW in His love. The primary goal of prayer is friendship with the One who made us! God loves when we talk with Him about our lives, thank Him for the good things He has given us, and ask Him for help. Prayer doesn’t have to be long and full of big words for it to matter. Prayer is telling God what is on your heart, and listening for what is on His. Our theme verse this week tells us to always be praying.

Through prayer, we are connecting with the One who loves us the most!

• What does your prayer life look like?

Congratulations to Zane for being one of the newest members of the Gleam Team!

Congratulations to Justice for his consistency in showing up to Mission Monday, always ready to go restore the land and rescue Gliddles in the Yonders, as well as helping friends in missions too!

And you too can be in the Spotlight and receive the Shining Spotlight Glider and RES Head to wear. Timberlands Treetops

Hey, Lightglider! It’s Bryce. Our next mission is to head back to the Timberlands and explore the treetops! There are lots of dangerous Machines up there, but I know you’ll battle them with ease!

A great tactic to deal with faster Machines is to “kite!” When a Machine charges you, start slowly backing away, firing behind you as you go. The Machine will try to chase you, but they won’t be able to catch you. It’s like you’re stringing along a kite behind you!

Use this tactic on many of the smaller Machines. You’ll come out on top! Glide on!

Easter

April 14, 2025

“They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus.” - Luke 24:2-3 (NLT)

Happy Easter Week Lightgliders!

In Lightglider Academy, we go on rescue missions into the Yonders every day. But at Easter, we are reminded of the greatest rescue mission of all time. Even before the world was created, God had a plan to rescue us from sin and death. That plan was and is Jesus. At the cross, Jesus died for our sins. And on Easter Sunday, he rose again back to life. He is alive! This is what we celebrate at Easter. Jesus has crushed sin and death, and offers us abundant and eternal life!

Glide On!

Nisha

Take some time as a family to talk about the historical event of the resurrection, and why Easter is so important!

• Read Luke 24:1-7 in the Bible. Why is the resurrection so important?

• How does your family celebrate Easter?

• What miracle happened at Easter?

• Why is the cross so important?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

• Play the Game of the Week, Easter Egg Toss! Everyone on the leaderboard this Saturday gets a surprise in their inventory!

• Watch the Sparks and Prayers on the Front Page

• Use this week’s Mystery Code - EASTER - to receive a Gold Glider!

Dream of ways to shine this week. Here are some suggestions!

• Use your Lightgliders journal to write three things you are thankful for this Easter week!

• Tell one friend about the meaning of Easter!

• Think of one new thing as a family you can do to celebrate Jesus this Easter! Ask a parent or trusted grown up to help you celebrate!

Spotlights #243

April 12, 2025

It's time to spotlight some Lightgliders who have been shining brightly in the Academy.  Congratulations to Daisy Risky Basil and Max Dazzling Victory! You are in the Spotlight and will receive a Shining Spotlight Glider and RES Head to use this week!

Daisy just happens to be celebrating her birthday this week! What better way to say Happy Birthday to one of our newer Lightgliders than with a RES Head! Happy birthday, Daisy!

Max is one of the newest members of the Gleam Team! Way to go, Max!!

Purple Mountain

It’s Nisha again, and I have a new mission for you. Purple Mountain is infested with Machines and blight, and it’s up to you to restore the mountain to its original majesty!

Some Machines are trapped in the blight themselves! It’s easier to battle them while they can’t move around, so wait to clear the blight until after the Machines are defeated. Remember to clear blight before you grab the extra RES they drop! If most of your Gliddles get tired, bring them to a Zipway so that they can come to Lightglider Academy and rest.

Our scouts say that Purple Mountain is full of secret areas! Some of them lead to even more powerful Machines and many treasures, so stay alert and look out for open doors, grates, and fences!

Community

April 7, 2025

“So it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.” - Romans 12:5 (NLT)

Hey Lightgliders!

Through Jesus, we become a part of a worldwide community of people who follow Him. As a part of this faith community, we all offer something unique. God has made each one of us with special gifts, talents, and passions to shine His light throughout the world.

When we gather together with others in our community of faith, we have opportunities to learn about God, encourage each other, pray together, understand the Scriptures, and experience Jesus. When we do this, God is glorified and we are strengthened. Having a community of faith gives us wonderful opportunities to KNOW, GROW in, and SHOW God’s love.

Glide On!

Tova

P.S. Come to one of the prayer times inside the Academy this week or perhaps to Bible Chat and experience the community of faith inside Lightgliders!

Here are some activities for you to do and questions to reflect upon this week in Lightgliders. Do these by yourself or with a family member!

• How do you use your gifts to encourage others?

• How can you show your parents that you are grateful for what they do for you?

• Who are three close friends of yours and how are they different from you?

• What does your community of faith do when you are together?

Use your Lightgliders Journal to answer these questions!

• It’s Find a Mod week!! Spot moderator Hazel in the Academy this week, say hello, and receive a prize!

• As you are out and about this week, at the park, school, or maybe the grocery store with your parents, make an effort to smile and say hello to people you see. You can encourage the community around you, even if they are strangers!

Spotlights #242

April 5, 2025

It's time to spotlight some Lightgliders who have been shining brightly in the Academy.  Congratulations to Archer Valiant Marvel and Max Hungry Sleuth! You are in the Spotlight and will receive a Shining Spotlight Glider and RES Head to use this week!

Archer has been nominated by a fellow Lightglider for all the cool postcards he sends to his friends!!

Max has been nominated for all the incredible ideas he has at Gamestorming!

Glide on!
